Adam Holland didn't fall into trees by accident. Growing up in Christchurch, he developed an early fascination with the natural world — how things grow, how they fail, and what it takes to work with them safely. He got his start in the industry in 2004, and from that point, he never looked back. What started as a job became a craft — pushing himself to understand arboriculture at a level most operators never bother with. That led him to his NZQA Level 4 Advanced Arborist qualification and eventually to becoming a certified NZ Horticulture Training Assessor, someone qualified to train and examine others entering the industry.

He founded Holland's Tree Services because he saw a gap. Too many Christchurch property owners were getting tree work done by underprepared operators who didn't carry proper insurance, didn't understand tree risk, and left jobs half-finished. Adam built the business around a different standard — certified, insured, safety-first, and done properly every time. Today he leads a team with 60+ years of combined experience and has personally overseen more than 10,000 jobs across Canterbury.

He's known in the industry for being straight-talking and genuinely knowledgeable — the kind of arborist who explains what he's doing and why, rather than just showing up with a chainsaw. Every job, from a single residential tree to a major commercial clearance, gets the same attention it did on day one.
