A: Generally we can be there within a fortnight, but during our busier times we can be up to 6 weeks away, so patience is appreciated.
A: We are insured for up to one million dollars so you can rest assured that should anything unfortunate happen we are fully covered for your protection. We have never had cause to claim on this insurance. As professional arborists we pride ourselves on taking the greatest possible care of both your trees and your property.
A: Protected trees can be pruned by a qualified arborist. Without a resource consent an arborist is allowed to remove no more that 15% of live growth and a branch no more than 50mm in diameter. Dead wood/branches can be removed without consent by a qualified arborist.
Removal of protected trees is against the law unless a resource consent is granted. A consent can be obtained from your local council, but may need a report by an arborist to support the application if it is to be successful.
A: Most trees can be pruned year round. Some species may not heal as well as others and it is advisable to wait until spring/summer to prune these. Just give us a call and we will be happy to advise you.
A: Yes you can. You can prune anything hanging over your boundary, as long as it is done to a professional standard. However it is usually a good idea to inform the neighbor of your plans and come to an agreement about what it is you propose to do. This can save arguments and bad feeling between neighbours.
We remove all debris when attending to your tree work. We aim to leave your property in as good condition as we found it and pride ourselves on cleaning up to a high standard.
